Larina D.	We are ARI investors in real estate. We selected this option because we have elderly parents we care for in the united states and cannot commit to longer stays in Portugal at this time. However, we have taken the CIPLE exam and plan to eventually make Portugal our home. To change the requirements after we have followed the rules and made a significant investment is unfair.

Melba G.	Sou descendente de portugueses nascidos durante a década de 1920 em Goa, ou seja, durante a ocupação portuguesa. No entanto, adquirir a prova da nacionalidade dos meus pais é difícil porque não tenho acesso ao registo civil em Goa de há cerca de um século. Em 2021, decidi candidatar-me ao ARI porque tinha o capital para adquirir unidades de participação em fundos de investimento ou fundos de capital de risco de empresas constituídas ao abrigo da lei portuguesa. Tenho mais que 70 anos, então no final da minha vida. Mas como a minha mãe morreu há alguns anos, desejava investir no país da sua nacionalidade, e se possível adquirir a nacionalidade portuguesa antes de eu morrer. Não tirei nenhuma casa a nenhum cidadão português e acho que argumentar que todos os investidores da ARI o fizeram, é simplesmente mentira.

Patrick P.	Tenho ascendência portuguesa e estava ansioso para me reconectar na terra natal da minha família. Adoro Portugal e o calor das pessoas que conheci no meu tempo em Portugal. Comecei o processo ARI investindo num fundo de capital de risco que apoia negócios locais e cria emprego porque me permitiu passar mais tempo em Portugal. Estou triste pelo fato de que as mudanças propostas na lei exigiriam que minha família e eu nos mudássemos para Portugal em tempo integral. Não podemos nos mudar para Portugal em tempo integral. Mesmo que nos mudássemos para Portugal a tempo inteiro, estaríamos a tirar um apartamento a cidadãos portugueses que vivem uma crise habitacional e merecem mais habitação. Eu não teria investido se fossem necessários 183 dias de presença física. Por favor, não exija 183 dias de presença física por ano. Honrei os meus compromissos legais com Portugal e peço respeitosamente que o Estado Português honre os compromissos legais que assumiu comigo quando me inscrevi no programa ARI. Partilhei o meu NIF no espaço N° B.I/Cartão Cidadão. Obrigado por ler isto.

Scott M.	If the GV scheme is closing for future applicants - so be it. However, you MUST treat people fairly that have already applied for, or been accepted into the GV scheme. That means running the scheme down over a number of years on the terms they originally entered it. No visa conversions on renovations, for example. Why? The conditions of other visa types will be IMPOSSIBLE for many people to comply with. This is simply unfair, and is not what people signed up to. If you don’t change your approach on this, there will be a lot of legal challenge from existing GV applicants and holders. The reputational damage to Portugal, even to now with your suggested proposals, is massive. Think again please. The world is watching you and expecting you to do the right thing - and that includes treating the non-EU citizens who have heavily invested in your country fairly, legally and respectfully.
Lindsey M.	Like thousands of people from non EU countries, I invested heavily in Portugal, & applied for a Golden Visa. You created the legal framework and the criteria for it, & I have done my part by duly complying with every requirement to obtain my GV. Now you threaten to change the scheme. Your latest idea is to convert the GV, on renovation, to another visa type. But this would be fundamentally changing the scheme I have applied for. If I had wanted, or been eligible for a D2 or other visa type, I would have applied for that! Also, the cost of applying for other visa types would have been significantly cheaper. You also can’t fairly (& questionably legally/constitutionally) move the goalposts & change the rules about time required in Portugal (from 7 to 183+), to applicants who are already in the GV cycle. If you push ahead and somehow these proposals are enacted, there will be significant legal recourse from affected individuals, for refunds of investments, GV costs, out of pocket expenses. Please think again as your proposals around the future treatment of ARI do NOTHING to support your “Mais Habitaçao” vision. Furthermore, the proposals are seriously damaging trust & reputation in PT
Sarah F.	(Above my passport number). I have invested in a Golden Visa in 2021, still waiting for the visa. I did NOT purchase housing, instead I invested in funds building student accommodation, hospitals and general funds (3 separate funds). These funds are actively investing in Portugal and helping the economy and the population. It would be easy to switch the Golden Visa to FUND ONLY and stop focussing on housing, which was a daft thing to do in the first place. The fact they appear not to even be looking at this highlights that this is an anti-foreigner push and not a housing activity.
Mostafa K.	This appears as portuguese government is violating constitutional laws.This should not happened in a democratic country where people rights are just jeopardised in precipitated decision.
