Petition helps to tackle Islamophobia, democracy will help and understand that not all are bad and generalising whole community for certain is bad and ruin unity in society with other communities

I find that a woman should be able to decide what she wants to wear, whether that be a niqab, hijab or whatever else she chooses to wear.
Mustapha O.
Freedom of choice to wear anything belongs to everyone

FREEDOM OF RELIGION PRACTICE AND HUMAN RIGHTS
Mohammed A.
É a liberdade religiosa. Se as pessoas podem usar uma máscara de esqui ou qualquer outra coisa, elas deveriam poder usar o que quiserem por motivos religiosos.

Stop this hypocrisy and allow muslims to practice their religion freely.

To: The Assembly of the Republic (Assembleia da República) and the Government of PortugalWe, the undersigned citizens and residents of Portugal, alongside supporters of human rights worldwide, formally state our absolute opposition to the recently proposed/enacted law banning the hijab.Portugal has long been celebrated as an inclusive, welcoming country that respects diversity, multiculturalism, and fundamental human rights. This law directly contradicts those values. We oppose this ban based on the following principles:Violation of Religious Freedom: The Portuguese Constitution explicitly guarantees the freedom of conscience, religion, and worship (Article 41). Forcing individuals to remove a religious garment is a direct infringement on their right to practice their faith safely and openly.Infringement on Personal Choice and Autonomy: True freedom means allowing women to choose how they dress. A ban does not liberate women; it strips them of their agency and bodily autonomy.Social Exclusion and Discrimination: This law disproportionately impacts Muslim women, risking their exclusion from public spaces, education, and employment. it promotes alienation and Islamophobia

I agree ?? it is not fair that a woman can't wear what she wants to wear. We need more modestly dressed women in this day and age
Sarmad a.
