I haven here in Portugal since January 2021 and staying and working with honesty in Portugal for five years. I am abiding the rules of the government and didn't have any criminal records. I get my residence card after long 2.5 years later . So I think and I hope that this is my right and my time should be counted as the day I started working and contributing in Portugal's GDP

Manter o prazo de 5 anos é uma questão de justiça e direitos humanos. Muitos imigrantes vivem em Portugal de forma legal, trabalham, pagam impostos e contribuem para a economia. Obrigar essas pessoas a esperar mais do que 5 anos para ter acesso à nacionalidade é tratar como estrangeiros aqueles que já fazem parte da sociedade. A nacionalidade não deve ser um privilégio, mas um reconhecimento da integração e do contributo real para o país.
