Eu sou um candidato GV existente de Hong Kong. Fiz minha biometria em março de 2022 e ainda nem recebi meu cartão rosa. Se houvesse novas regras exigindo que ficássemos 183 dias em Portugal ao renovar o cartão rosa, isso criaria um fator de hardship para eu cumprir. Não é justo com os candidatos GV existentes. Eu nunca teria aplicado o GV se tal condição fosse conhecida em primeiro lugar. Não terei escolha a não ser vender a propriedade e processar o governo por quaisquer perdas incorridas causadas pela solicitação do GV. I am an existing GV candidate from Hong Kong. I took my biometrics in March 2022 and I still haven't even received my pink card. If there were new rules requiring us to stay 183 days in Portugal when renewing the pink card, that would create a hardship factor for me to comply with. It's not fair to existing GV candidates. I would never have applied the GV if such a condition had been known in the first place. I will have no choice but to sell the property and sue the government for any losses incurred caused by the GV application.

Apoio plenamente esta ininciativa de apelo ao bom e comum consenso do XXIII Executivo para que não seja mais denegrida a imagem de Portugal junto de investidores estrangeiros, que pode vir a ter repercussões a longo prazo e lançar o pais numa trajetória económico-social -social descendente. A ideologia política não pode nem deve sobrepor-se ao bem dos mais de 10 milhões de cidadãos e a nação em particular.

Sou contra o término dos Vistos Gold. Além dos impostos pagos em Portugal pelos investidores, promovem igualmente o desenvolvimento do país. Não serão certamente os Vistos Gold a causa do problema habitacional existente.

Dear Mister and Madam, Do as you like going forward, since it is your country; but, before the new law is installed, please stick to the old law. It will be very hard for people to deal with your country or take your country seriously if you can make the old law go away like the way you are suggesting - retroactively enforce the new law in the past. What does that mean, you can always put future law into the past, what does that mean for the past law, no meaning?!!!!! Why bother have law at all if this is your practice. Honestly, I expected more, much more, from a country like Portugal. Please stick with international practice of make a new law and let it be put to work in the future, not in the past.

Hello! As you know time is critical right now and a group of lawyers decided that it is time to actively defend the constitutional rights in what concerns the GV law changes! So it was created a petition to be mandatorily analysed by the Parliament. Here is the translated text for you to see it! Retroactively enforcing a law that differs from the law currently in place is bad international practice. People made a decision based on the law at the time, if people knew back then the law you would retroactively impose on them today, they might have made a different decision. What is the point of law if it can be retroactively negated. This is bad practice and very negative for confidence in the Portugal government, not just today, but for many many years to come. The consequence will be long and severe.

I think that the proposal of the government and the prime minister on the part that concerns the Golden Visa is anti-constitutional. Laws should not be retroactive in a constitutional country. Gold visas must function under the same rules under which they were issued. Golden Visas should not be banned retroactively until the law is in effect.
