Pelo fim do bloqueio da ajuda humanitária: exigimos ação firme dos países europeus

Como cidadãos europeus que vos elegeram e que em vós depositaram a responsabilidade de os representar, exigimos que ajam.

Inúmeras pessoas por toda a Europa e no mundo apelam à União Europeia, às Nações Unidas, ao Conselho da Europa e a todos os governos europeus para que tomem medidas imediatas e concretas face à contínua obstrução da ajuda humanitária a populações civis em zonas de conflito e crise.

Por todo o mundo — em locais como Gaza, Sudão, Iémen, entre outros — milhões de pessoas estão a ser privadas de acesso a alimentos, medicamentos, água potável e cuidados médicos essenciais. Entre as vítimas estão crianças inocentes que estão a morrer à fome diante dos olhos do mundo. Em muitos casos, estes bloqueios são atos deliberados, em clara violação do Direito Internacional Humanitário, e atentam contra os mais básicos princípios da dignidade humana.

Denunciamos:

A inação ou conivência indireta dos Estados europeus, que, apesar de conhecerem estas atrocidades, não aplicam sanções, nem tomam medidas diplomáticas eficazes para proteger vidas humanas;

A ausência de mecanismos fiáveis que garantam corredores humanitários seguros;

A escolha repetida da conveniência política em detrimento da vida, da justiça e da lei internacional.

Exigimos:

Sanções imediatas e rigorosas, equivalentes às aplicadas à Rússia, contra qualquer governo ou entidade que bloqueie, destrua ou dificulte a entrega de ajuda humanitária;

O reconhecimento oficial de que o bloqueio deliberado da ajuda humanitária pode constituir um crime contra a humanidade;

O estabelecimento urgente de garantias internacionais de proteção, que assegurem um acesso humanitário contínuo e sem entraves;

Que a União Europeia e os seus Estados-membros deixem de ser cúmplices por omissão e ajam de acordo com os valores que proclamam defender.

Recordamos que a União Europeia se funda nos valores do respeito pela dignidade humana, da liberdade, da democracia, da igualdade, do Estado de direito e do respeito pelos direitos humanos, incluindo os direitos das pessoas pertencentes a minorias, tal como preceituado no artigo 2.º do Tratado da União Europeia (TUE). Exigimos que este tratado seja cumprido.

Não votámos para que permaneçam em silêncio. Votámos pela justiça, pelos direitos humanos e pelo Estado de Direito.

Assinamos esta petição não apenas como observadores, mas como cidadãos que exigem responsabilidade, coragem política e ação urgente perante o sofrimento humano.

A História recordará quem ficou parado — e quem teve a coragem de agir.


To the Honourable President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen,

End the blockade of humanitarian aid: we demand firm action from European countries

As European citizens who elected you and entrusted you with the responsibility to represent us, we demand that you act.

Countless people across Europe and the world appeal to the European Union, the United Nations, the Council of Europe, and all European governments to take immediate and concrete measures in response to the ongoing obstruction of humanitarian aid to civilian populations in conflict and crisis zones.

All over the world — in places like Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and others — millions of people are being denied access to food, medicine, clean water, and essential medical care. Among the victims are innocent children who are starving to death before the eyes of the world. In many cases, these blockades are deliberate acts, in clear violation of International Humanitarian Law, and they strike at the very core of human dignity.

We denounce:

The inaction or indirect complicity of European states which, despite being aware of these atrocities, do not impose sanctions nor take effective diplomatic steps to protect human lives;

The lack of reliable mechanisms to ensure safe humanitarian corridors;

The repeated choice of political convenience over life, justice, and international law.

We demand:

Immediate and strict sanctions, equivalent to those applied to Russia, against any government or entity that blocks, destroys, or hinders the delivery of humanitarian aid;

The official recognition that the deliberate blockade of humanitarian aid may constitute a crime against humanity;

The urgent establishment of international protective guarantees to ensure continuous and unhindered humanitarian access;

That the European Union and its Member States cease to be complicit through inaction and act according to the values they claim to uphold.

We recall that the European Union is founded on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities, as laid down in Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union (TEU). We demand that this treaty be upheld.

We did not vote for silence. We voted for justice, human rights, and the rule of law.

We sign this petition not merely as observers, but as citizens demanding accountability, political courage, and urgent action in the face of human suffering.

History will remember those who stood still — and those who had the courage to act.

Für ein Ende der Blockade humanitärer Hilfe: Wir fordern entschlossenes Handeln der europäischen Staaten

Als europäische Bürgerinnen und Bürger, die Sie gewählt haben und Ihnen die Verantwortung übertragen haben, uns zu vertreten, fordern wir entschlossenes Handeln.

Unzählige Menschen in Europa und auf der ganzen Welt appellieren an die Europäische Union, die Vereinten Nationen, den Europarat und alle europäischen Regierungen, sofortige und konkrete Maßnahmen gegen die anhaltende Behinderung humanitärer Hilfe für Zivilbevölkerungen in Konflikt- und Krisengebieten zu ergreifen.

Weltweit – in Regionen wie Gaza, Sudan, Jemen und anderswo – wird Millionen von Menschen der Zugang zu Lebensmitteln, Medikamenten, sauberem Wasser und grundlegender medizinischer Versorgung verweigert. Unter den Opfern sind unschuldige Kinder, die vor den Augen der Welt verhungern. In vielen Fällen handelt es sich bei diesen Blockaden um gezielte Handlungen, die gegen das humanitäre Völkerrecht verstoßen und die grundlegenden Prinzipien der menschlichen Würde verletzen.

Wir prangern an:

Die Untätigkeit oder indirekte Mittäterschaft europäischer Staaten, die trotz Kenntnis dieser Gräueltaten weder Sanktionen verhängen noch wirksame diplomatische Maßnahmen ergreifen, um Menschenleben zu schützen;

Das Fehlen zuverlässiger Mechanismen zur Sicherstellung sicherer humanitärer Korridore;

Die wiederholte Entscheidung für politische Zweckmäßigkeit auf Kosten von Leben, Gerechtigkeit und internationalem Recht.

Wir fordern:

Sofortige und strenge Sanktionen, vergleichbar mit denen gegen Russland, gegen jede Regierung oder Organisation, die die Lieferung humanitärer Hilfe blockiert, zerstört oder behindert;

Die offizielle Anerkennung, dass die gezielte Blockade humanitärer Hilfe ein Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit darstellen kann;

Die dringende Einrichtung internationaler Schutzgarantien, die einen kontinuierlichen und ungehinderten Zugang für humanitäre Hilfe sicherstellen;

Dass die Europäische Union und ihre Mitgliedstaaten ihre Mitschuld durch Untätigkeit beenden und entsprechend den Werten handeln, die sie zu vertreten vorgeben.

Wir erinnern daran, dass sich die Europäische Union auf den Werten der Achtung der Menschenwürde, Freiheit, Demokratie, Gleichheit, Rechtsstaatlichkeit und der Achtung der Menschenrechte, einschließlich der Rechte von Personen, die Minderheiten angehören, gründet, wie in Artikel 2 des Vertrags über die Europäische Union (EUV) festgelegt. Wir fordern die Einhaltung dieses Vertrages.

Wir haben nicht für Schweigen gestimmt. Wir haben für Gerechtigkeit, Menschenrechte und Rechtsstaatlichkeit gestimmt.

Wir unterzeichnen diese Petition nicht nur als Beobachtende, sondern als Bürgerinnen und Bürger, die Verantwortung, politischen Mut und dringendes Handeln angesichts menschlichen Leids fordern.

Die Geschichte wird sich erinnern – an diejenigen, die untätig blieben, und an diejenigen, die den Mut hatten zu handeln.
