Dear Sirs
I come to you seeking help in a desperate attempt to save Marvão from yet another attack against historic and architectural patrimony.
Currently there is construction work being done in the area of the castle, an area which was considered immaculate and was not in need of construction. As of this moment, cement spreads rapidly and violently, the medieval carpet in front of the oven house has disappeared and much more….I do not wish to prolong this message as the photos speak for themselves.
Over the last six years there have been destructive construction projects one after the other in this village.
Please come and see for yourselves what is happening here. Please help us in defending our patrimony.
