The fact that this petition needs to be signed only after a man lost his life, seemingly stripped of his dignity in a place where commercial profit appeared to take precedence over humanity, is deeply disturbing. No passenger should ever be left without timely medical assistance, nor should business continue as usual while a human being lies dead on the floor. An airport serving thousands of people every day must be prepared to protect lives, not merely facilitate spending. Today, it was him. Tomorrow, it could be any one of us. Human life and dignity must always come before profit. I WAS a worker at the airport until yesterday, sometimes starting shifts at 4am, and I have people working there who I deeply care about. Just to think that any of those people could be in pain and not able to ask for help until certain hour is breaking my heart. This can’t be fixed, but you can make sure it never happens again.
