Dear to whom it may concern, The lagoon is a necessary and unique landscape not only needed to preserve the local wildlife but also upholding the indistinguishable scenery and beauty of the Portuguese environment. Thereby, seeking to prevent any further destruction through increased tourists littering and disturbing this natural habitat must be prevented at all costs. Not only the local community but also anyone who values nature should actively care about the retainment of this natural landscape. It is absolutely shocking what has been done to all those trees, the ria formosa is going to end up like quarteria or the costa del sol - with just houses and no beautiful trees! This destruction is no better than Brazil are doing with the Amazon.

The damage that has been done to the habitat of this section of the Ria Formosa is unforgivable and possibly irreparable. Those responsible should be appropriately sanctioned by the relevant authorities.

CRIMINOSOS!!! E o ministro do ambiente e a restante cambada de incompetentes da Reserva Natural da Ria Formosa, que é feito deles? Onde estão? O que andam a fazer. E as coimas e outras sansões aplicadas aos infratores, onde estão? Mas no nosso belo e querido país podem-se infringir as leis e não acontece nada? Haja vergonha!

Grande parte do terreno está incluida na Zona de Proteção Especial, Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, que integra a Rede Natura 2000, sujeita a apertada regulação Europeia para garantir a respetiva preservação ambiental, impedindo toda e qualquer intervenção na fauna, na flora e nas edificações sem autorização prévia especifica da Entidade Gestora, o Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, tutelado pelo ICNF.
