PETIÇÃO PARA UM AMBIENTE LIMPO SEM LIXO | A PETITION FOR A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT GARBAGE
Para: Exmo. Senhor Presidente da República
Ex.mo. Senhor Presidente da República de Portugal e Ex.mo. Senhor Presidente da Assemibleia da República
Wendela, 5 anos, após semanas a recolher lixo em espaços naturais próximo da sua casa, no Algarve, diz à sua mãe:
- “Isto é demasiado, não conseguimos apanhar todo o lixo sozinhos. Como presente de aniversário, desejo que a Natureza fique limpa, sem lixo para sempre! Temos de dizer isto ao Presidente e aos políticos de Portugal”.
Hoje, dia 5 de Junho de 2019, DIA MUNDIAL DO AMBIENTE, em nome da Wendela e de todas as crianças portuguesas, pedimos ao Senhor Presidente da República e Senhor Presidente da Assembleia da República através desta Petição Pública, que façam UM APELO PÚBLICO NO PRÓXIMO DIA 5 DE OUTUBRO DE 2019, solicitando a todos os CIDADÃOS RESIDENTES EM PORTUGAL que assumam UM “COMPROMISSO DE HONRA COM O AMBIENTE” E NÃO DEIXEM QUALQUER RASTO DE LIXO – nos espaços públicos, nos jardins, nos seus bairros, nas ruas, pela janela do carro, nas praias, nas florestas e na Natureza em geral.
Que todos sejamos responsáveis pelo bem comum que é o Ambiente.
O impacto tóxico do lixo no Ambiente a médio e longo prazo, nos animais, nas plantas e na nossa saúde é mais do que conhecido. A vida no nosso Planeta está em perigo. É tempo de agir. Juntos, conseguimos!
Vamos dar este presente de aniversário à Wendela e a todas as crianças de Portugal! Elas merecem um futuro sem lixo.

Wendela, 5 years old, after weeks of collecting garbage in the natural environment close to her home in the Algarve, tells her mother:
- "This is too much, we cannot do this alone. For my birthday, I wish for nature to be clean, without trash forever! We have to tell this to the President and the politicians of Portugal. "
Today, June 5th, 2019, THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, on behalf of Wendela and all the Portuguese children, we ask the President of the Assembly of the Republic and the President of the Republic of Portugal through this Public Request that they make a PUBLIC APPEAL ON THE REPUBLIC DAY OCTOBER 5th, 2019, requesting all CITIZENS RESIDING IN PORTUGAL to undertake a "COMMITMENT TO HONOR THE ENVIRONMENT", NOT LEAVING ANY TRACES OF GARBAGE - in public spaces, in parks, in neighbourhoods, in streets, from car windows, on beaches, in the forests and in the nature in general.
May we all be responsible for the common good of the Environment.
The toxic impact of waste short term and long term, on the environment, on animals, plants and our human health is more than known. Life on our planet is in danger. If we collaborate, we can achieve this together.
Let's give this birthday present to Wendela and all the children of Portugal! They deserve a future without garbage.
